😷 For the first time in 12 years the mask wearing emoji from Apple has been upgraded to replace the plain yellow face with sad eyes that looks sick, to what appears to be a smiley face wearing a mask in the new beta update. This change has been cited as a subtle shift in perception to pivot the association of face mask wearing from sad/sick to happy/upbeat.
