đź’°  With the rise of video conferencing fuelled by the pandemic Zoom now offers an integration with PayPal that allows users to charge attendees. The service is initially set to be only available in the US for now, but could eventually be rolled out internationally. The catch is that you will have to be a paid Zoom user to set up these fee charging events using OnZoom. The capacity of these “events” ranges from 100 attendees, up to 1,000 for enterprise users. Notably, Facebook announced something similar earlier this year, allowing businesses, creators, educators and media publishers to host paid events on Facebook Live or its Messenger Rooms app, and Facebook has stated it won’t charge users fees from tickets sales until at least August 2021. On a similar note British telecommunications company Sky has inked a groundbreaking deal with digital fitness platform Fiit as it joins the growing number of businesses vying for a spot in the fast-growing digital fitness category. https://www.businessinsider.com/zoom-announces-new-online-event-platform-onzoom-third-party-apps-2020-10
